I would like to live at the end of a very long driveway like this...
In peaceful seclusion I will listen in present tense to the sweet calls of birds, crickets, frogs and...silence. Bucolic. Pastoral. Idyllic. Adjectives for a symphony of origin with features of comfort and familiarity. My eyes will glaze over from starlight. On my way out to grocery shop I will pass by lazy scenery with languid characters like these...
-on Jackson Pollock
"With Jackson there was quiet solitude. Just to sit and look at the landscape. An inner quietness. After dinner, to sit on the back porch and look at the light. No need for talking. For any kind of communication". - Lee Krasner

My driveway isn't THAT long, but close enough. And that's exactly what I pass on the way to the grocery store! Come visit and listen to the riot of the cicadas with me.
Sharon- that bottom photo is a painting ( one of yours...) if ever there was one.
Your musings confirm how glorious it is to live in and among the organic components of this spinning rock we inhabit.
Some days, the best thing we can and should do is nothing. Not feel we have to "produce", or clean or be someone's something, just BE!
Well, and breathe too.
That's what this post reminds me of.
Perfect for a Sunday.
perfect! I need to create my own vision board.
