Okay, you know I'm a lousy photographer but here are three little paintings that I did on some 8"x10" canvases Michael stretched for me ages ago. He put them in the frames before I got them shot. I created them to have some lower priced pieces in my upcoming exhibit at Gallery Central in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Incredibly, it was really difficult for me to paint this small after all the gigantic canvases. I don't even have any bristle brushes smaller than a #6 and I had to search around for a brush I received as a bonus for buying something or other. I think it's a #3. It doesn't hold much paint, that much I can say. Fussy, fussy, fussy.
So there won't be many of these mini's on canvas. I'll end up having an anxiety attack. At least with the small acrylics and gold leaf I painted I was able to use sables and they were on smooth panels, not canvas.

Sharon,
What a gift it will be to have your paintings at Gallery Central for the upcoming Gallery Walk. Owner Bess Sanders is a good friend of mine, and a real ambassador for our city. We are fortunate to have someone with her energy and pizzazz on Central Avenue.
Recently geographer Warren Bland named Hot Springs, Ark. the No. 1 place in America to retire.
I gotta admit, Hot Springs is a pretty cool place to live, even for those of us who aren't yet retired.

Now I'm toggling between your blog and Alyson's Art Biz Blog....sounds like a fantastic workshop. So much information!
I had to laugh at your description of trying to paint small. As one who paints "little gems," know that I don't have a brush big enough to attempt anything like one of your gorgeous murals.
Ooops. I forgot to mention how much I appreciate Michael's efforts on Marion artists' behalf. I had no idea he was so active...and you too actually. Much thanks!
Rebecca: I hope I get to meet you Friday night at Gallery Central. I'm looking forward to traveling to Hot Springs and taking in a "bath".
Nancy: Sometimes it's the people you never hear about who are working the hardest on behalf of a cause, etc. Thanks for noticing...
